Benalmadena is dotted with beautiful flowers from March, April until the Winter months. They are lovely to look at, and they really brighten up the place.
The following are but some of the flowers that I captured, the nicer ones. I know the names of some of them, but not the rest.
Oleanders. The blooms are at their peak and will slowly drop off.
I was told that these Oleander flowers are poisonous. If there is any one particular person whom you dislike, just boil a pot of Oleander flower tea, and serve it to him or her. Afterwards you don't have to dislike him anymore. I don't know if that is true since the old lady who told me that, and her mates who attested to that, will not admit whether they had been successful. I smell something fishy. I don't trust all these old ladies, and I will be extra careful when they are all sweet and nice while serving me tea. You would too, if you know what's good for you.
The Oleanders come in a variety of colours.
Magnolias.
Beautiful Trumpet flowers.
Bougainvillea and yellow hibiscus. These are quite common. You see them everywhere, especially the bougainvillea.
Yucca. They are just coming into their flowering season. Quite a few of them around.
Jacaranda. The Jacarandas were past their season. However, I was told that, sometimes they bloom again.
When they are in bloom, the whole tree is covered in purplish blue colour. Quite a sight. Nice scent too.
The rest of the flowers, I am afraid I don’t know what they are.
