Being Saturday I try to post a photo of my cats for #caturday but this morning I see a wild rabbit in the back yard near the forest and thought ‘Wabbit’ would make a nice subject.
Wabbit’s fur still has some white from his winter camouflage. His fur is starting to turn brown for summer. This is nature’s intelligent way of trying to keep him safe from predators with the changing seasons in my neck of the woods.
He is difficult to spot now with the two tones, white and brown, against the landscape. As soon as the warmer weather comes he will be all brown.
