My #wednesdaywalk, as inspired by @tattoodeejay.
This walk featured the family, a beautiful day of colors, and a pleasant Wisconsin October afternoon. With winter en route, one most certainly needs to take advantage of the situation, and as often as possible...
This walk was through a newer trail on top of a nearby bluff. Aptly named the “Gateway Trails,” this trail is a loop that circles the top of a bluff. There are a lots of bump and rocks to walk over; most of the trail is used by mountain bikers. Yet a hike in this area is just as much fun.
I didn’t bother to edit this photos as the colors were perfect. Yellows, greens, reds, oranges…so many wonderful scenes to photograph. I wish all days were like this…
There were even a few mushrooms to check out. Our daughter loves to find mushrooms and is always asking me to take a photo…so here are her finds from the walk. Again, not sure I could eat them or not, but they are fun to find and look at.
The last view from the trail we managed was this landscape.
Below the clouds above are the states of Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota…all of which are visible from this spot on clear days. We’re fortunate to not have too much pollution in this area. It’s there, but nothing that hoses up views like that on days like this.
The Old Style Brewery used to reside in this town, and their marketing was always “Brewed in God’s Country.” I don’t know if that sold more beer or not, but the area's views do give one appreciation for nature.
Thanks for checking out my #wednesdaywalk share! I hope everyone had a wonderful Wednesday too!
