- I was greeted by new orchid blooms today, as I took my grand daughter for a walk. The orchid blooms of white and pink were a welcome site. There are so many of them it’s hard to say exactly what day they bloomed.
- Orchids are special not only for their unique shape and construction, but their longevity too. Unlike regular flowers which bloom and die in the span of less than one week, orchids last 4 times as long or more depending on the circumstances.
- This is why you see orchid lovers wince in pain at the site of cut orchids, because we know cutting shortens the life drastically of all flowed, and the effect is magnified in normally long lived blooms like orchids.
