Between fishermen-"miners", folding bags and bags of all the fish that can be captured and those who let either the whole or the greater part of the fish caught there's an ongoing debate about the appropriateness of releasing the fishing trophies. And one of the arguments of the "miners" is the poor survival of the released fish. All going to die anyway, so why let go? I personally have long been convinced that this is not true, and the survival rate of released fish is very high. And with respect to the fish while removing it from the hook bait all released individuals 100% survive. I personally repeatedly caught pike, which someone caught and released. And even a few times I was able to catch fish, which I myself caught and released just a few days ago.
New rules of fishing with daily catch rates of 5-10 kg per angler ( depending on the region) , as well as repeatedly increased fines for exceeding these standards will force many miners to reconsider their hapuzhnichesky approach to river wealth. And that they are not particularly worried that they released the fish will die ( although I am sure that this is pure hypocrisy), let them watch the video story posted below. It had just caught and released perch literally within minutes again attacking the bait angler...
For those anglers who are ready to join the supporters of fishing on the principle of "catch and release" , I can advise you to buy gloves to hold the fish and a special fabric bag for weighing it before releasing. So you do not cause their trophies fatal injury during the weighing procedures.
