Description from Strava:
I was not planning to go out last night, but @todayslight messaged me to say he and others were going to the open mic at the Brewery Tap in Shefford. I had said a few times that I ought to go there, so I gave in. I had not practiced anything, but I took my guitar along. It was being hosted by @steve-o2023 and @anna-newkey (aka @steve.and.anke). You can see her post about it.

I did five songs that went fairly well. Some good performances by others including a few I may not have seen before. As we stayed until the end I got to bed a little later than I had hoped.

I was in the office again today, so had to get up. I brought my kit along to get a run in. I keep some shoes in my drawer and there are changing rooms on site. I used to run from there more often when I was in the office full time. It was quite nice out there today. I did the run up the hill towards Fairlands Valley Park, but turned off before I got there. I had had enough of going uphill and I did not want to be out for too long.

It felt like hard work, but I kept going. One advantage of Stevenage is that you go under a lot of the roads and so do not need to stop much. The last bit back to the office is up another hill.

I was well warmed up and the shower was set hot, so it took a while to cool down. I have to go up two floors back to my desk, but climbing the stairs was not so bad.

I have done 12000 steps in all today and will be in the office again tomorrow. I will run again on Thursday even if we have rain by then.

I want to get my weekly distance up a bit, so may be doing more of these lunchtime runs. I could go in extra early and run before work, but have not done that so far.

Have a great week and run free.
