Description from Strava:
This was nearly a very short run. My back has been playing up and as I started it felt like I could barely run, but I persisted and it improved. It was not quick, but at least I was out. I was timekeeping at parkrun yesterday, so I did not get a run there.

It was cool out there, but sunny and I soon warmed up. I did the usual loop. I passed a lady on a horse up at Fairfield and then a guy pushing a baby buggy overtook me. He was running in case you wondered. There was a lady with a double buggy at parkrun.

I saw two separate squirrel cross roads today. Perhaps they are busy preparing for winter.

I felt able to keep going, so I took the long way around Stotfold. Coming back through Arlesey I saw a lot of smoke from behind the church. When I got to Carters Way I could see the fire. It was just about possible to see a car amongst the flames. There were some small explosions, so I was staying well away from it. I know @todayslight was there as he messaged me and he lives around the corner. The fire engine turned up just after I left the scene.

The rest of the run home was uneventful. I fed the chickens when I got back. Their feeder is always empty in the morning as I think the rats are eating the food. I moved it up higher, but the rat I saw yesterday was pretty big, so it can probably still reach.

There is an open mic in Hitchin this evening that I am going to. I have a few chores to do before then.

Enjoy your Sunday and run free.
