Description from Strava:
I am still feeling stiff from the weekend, but I feel the need to keep up my running routine. There was a risk of rain today, but it was not looking too cold at around 13C.

I am tending to run the same route lately, but it works for me and includes some hill work. The fallen tree at Fairfield has been cut back now, so there is no need to clamber over it. On the way up it started to rain, but was not too bad and it helped to cool me down a little.

I was taking it very gently, but I hope to find a little more pace on Sunday for the 10k. I know from experience that running in a crowd makes a difference, but I need to be wary of going off too quick. Just after the start there is a long climb, so I do need to pace myself. The course does go up and down a bit, but it is fun to run on closed roads.

Podcast listening was Drumeo talking about 'forgotten' drummers and a BBC science show about the health of our rivers. They are in a bad state generally. The government needs to care more about that. We have a lovely little river near us, but even that is threatened by pollution. People swim in it, but that may have health risks.

I plan to run on Thursday, but then rest until Sunday. I am volunteering to help at parkrun on Saturday.

Enjoy your week and run free.
