One of the simplest but most important feature needed some redesign and got us playing with some carousel libraries.
New Feature: Steem Price Carousel
The way the Steem prices were displayed was a bit frustrating, having to wait 5 seconds to switch between the different price indicators.
Following a few suggestions, we decided to make it faster and smoother, as you can see in the GIF hereunder,p
The Steem price switches smoothly every 3 seconds between the three different modes :
- STEEM/SBD
- STEEM/USD
- SBD/USD
To make it even faster and enjoyable for those in a hurry, once the dropdown open, you can simply press the Left and Right Arrows on your keyboard to switch between the different prices. You can use this to switch even faster between the different prices.
Of course I am going super fast on this example, but it s up to you to control the speed with these arrows ;)
In order to do this, we have used the very efficient unslider library. It is one of of the most complete carousel slider libraries using jQuery. You can find its documentation in here.
