Indian Bride Sunaina Photo session
As i mentioned in my previous posts i'm talking about this great wedding i had to cover with a Dutch photographer. He was the boy side photographer. I got this first picture where the bride is holding her Ghunghat (Shawl) up.
Why Indian brides cover their face with this Ghunghat (Shawl)
As our priest says no stranger should see the face of the bride before her husband. He has to be the first one to see. Back in time marriages were arranged and groom saw their bride the first time during the wedding. The priest then asked if he is willing to marry the girl and then marriages happenened. But nowdays these things don't occur, or just maybe once in 10.000.
To cover the face was therefore and to proctect them from evil eye.
Today i have some different editing of this bride for you guys.
I Hope you like the post and thank you for stopping by.
With love,
Prasant Djewan
