Sierra Hot Springs!

It was my first time going to a hot spring. This place is such a nice place! I highly recommend it. We also camp there for a night. It must have been 2 to 3 years since I last slept in a tent.

I really enjoy camping and sleeping in a tent. I even slept a whole summer in a tent in my parent's backyard.

Anyway, back to the Sierra Hot Springs!

A hot spring is a spring produced by the emergence of geothermally heated groundwater that rises from the Earth's crust. While some of these springs contain water that is a safe temperature for bathing, others are so hot that immersion can result in injury or death.

I don't think we have some hot springs around my neck of the wood, so that's one of the reasons I never had the chance to enjoy them.

It's a 2 hours 30 minutes drive from Sacramento. The landscapes there are so beautiful. There are nice mountains and lakes everywhere.

Those hot springs are the "hippie" kind of hot springs so anyone can enjoy their nakedness or not depending on how they feel about it.

By the way, the term hippie has probably been invented by some social engineer to marginalize certain behavior they deemed undesirable or by some plastic people for similar reasons.

In one spot there's a large pool with some temperate water and another much smaller pool with much hotter water. There are also 2 small baths with super cool water.

The smaller pool can accommodate around 10 persons and has sand all over its floor which feels so good on the feet. The water has quite a strong sulphuric smell but it's not necessarily annoying. It's also very viscous.

There's also another small pool with temperate water on the other side of the camping.

The camping and Hot Springs rates are super cheap which help make this place even more awesome!

After Bota Bota Spa, I thought spas where a good place to meet a possible date, well I can definitely say they are no match with naked hot springs.

One has to be prepared to date hippies but at least naked hot spring clearly reduce the chance of bad surprises for when it's time to get naked later in the relationship.

But more seriously, I highly recommended this place. It's definitely worth it, whether or not you've ever been to a hot spring!

The camping site is also awesome! There's a communal kitchen where everyone has access to a refrigerator, stove and a small dining room where hippies love to hang out!

This hammock is a camping must. I even seen people sell their place to go live in the wood with these as their "home".

And that pop-up tent we slept in is pretty cool and comfy. It really takes less than a second to set up but can be very tricky to fold back.

Again, I'm super greatful @karensuestudios and @acromott brought me to this awesome spot!
