While in Moscow, I encountered a few scenes I am not used to seeing, at all. This photo is a good example of that.
While walking around on a busy street, I saw this old lady reading a book. She was waiting for someone to approach her and buy her porcelain. I wonder if she does this for a living or if it was an one time thing - Well, I have no clue but it definitely grabbed my attention.
She wasn't having much luck, though. Most people were passing by, without even stopping to look. Good thing she had a book. It was a cold day - but warm if you're a Russian. I mean, it was above 0ΒΊ C! πππ
By the way, is it allowed for people to sell stuff like this, in Russia? Here in Portugal, the cops would be harassing her all day, even if she had a permit!
It was another good opportunity to make use of the Zoom of my new camera. Here's another shot, without the zoom.
This was no challenge for my camera. It didn't even sweat. I have a few Zoom shots that will blow your mind but I'll leave that for another day.
I hope you enjoyed this scene. I find it both sad and beautiful.
