It's good to know that while we degenerates run a mostly pointless life gambling shitcoins and shitposting or whatever hoping for an early retirement there are actually a handful of people doing great things out there...Things for the actual progress of society. š
Like this thing I stumbled upon today.
Something that may improve the life of millions if not billions of people out there. And give the middle finger to all dentists as well. Fucking dentists. I hate those fucking dickheads.
The worldās 1st drug to regrow teeth is about to enter HUMAN fucking clinical trials!
Now, as someone who has undergone a handful of root canals, I know that in a couple decades my teeth outlook isn't gonna the best so this is something I really can't wait to see!
If this shit actually passes the human trial stage it's gonna be simply revolutionary, considering how the dental field has been relatively stagnant.. with maybe the exception of dental implants. Fillings, implants, root canals, everything a thing of the past! Fuck that shit. Just regrow your teeth like new!
The tooth-regrowing drug works by inhibiting an antibody or some shit and has been in development since 2005. For now, we know it works on mice and ferrets:
In his research, which heās been conducting at Kyoto University since 2005, Takahashi learned of a particular gene in mice that affects the growth of their teeth

The antibody for this gene, USAG-1, can help stimulate tooth growth if it is suppressed ā and scientists have since worked to develop a āneutralizing antibody medicineā that is able to block USAG-1.
I actually remember reading numerous times about Takahashi's research in the past, but I never thought we would live to see this being actually tried on humans!
But the moment has finally come!
Now, testing will turn to healthy adult humans and, if all goes well, the team plans to hold a clinical trial for the drug from 2025 for children between two and six years old with anodontia ā a rare genetic disorder that results in the absence of six or more baby and/or adult teeth.
Damn. The future is now! So fucking exciting. I won't be surprised if we see limb regeneration by the end of the decade...If we manage not to fuck everything up before that... š
Tic tac.
