Proteins.

I never think about them although they fit 100% in my low carbohydrate diet.
The Dutch word for "protein" is "egg-white". It is the white part of the egg, the food for the little chick inside.

Eggs are good and healthy although they tried to make us believe for nearly two generations it is unhealthy. "They" are those so called food-experts who make a huge income by spreading and selling their "news".

I like eggs, I eat and use them but... I do not like all eggs. A hard boiled eggs has a smell over it I do not like. It always reminds me of... bleach.

Egg on bread is common in the Netherlands but I seldom eat it this way. It makes a mess, always falls off your bread if you try to take a bite. An omelet is a better option.

Everything you eat on a pizza you can eat on your omelet!

Is egg my favourite protein?

If it comes to the most complete food it is my favorite food. It contains everything that your body needs (what is good for an embryo to grow is good for you too).
Could I eat it daily, only? I am not sure about it.

Meat.

I like meat so I eat it but not daily and not much. There are periods my body asks for meat. During my pregnancies for example.
I noticed my children suddenly started eating a lot of meat too at the age of 3 years old. I assume they needed it.

I miss eating a steak, roast beef but I cannot afford to buy it.

Poultry.

In most cases, I like chicken more than meat and I buy chicken.
Yesterday was an exception. I bought minced meat made of turkey. It was for sale and cheaper as the mix pork/beef. I used a bit through the pot fixed sauce I had in the cupboard and made small "burgers" out of the rest which we will partly eat today.
If we eat it the way I planned it is 450 grams of meat we share with three people and eat from for 4 days which means 35-40 grams a person/day!

We are not used to eating turkey.
It smells and tastes different and so does the meat look like. I have no idea what species to use to make it taste better so I used a mix for chicken and we will pretend it is chicken. Once used to the taste and smell I guess we will eat it too.

A meat loaf ball is useally a ball but I make them flat and use tablespoons. A Dutch cook once said the best "gehaktball" (minced meat ball) is flat. I don't know if it's true but the meat is faster well-done.

I try to eat as many proteins as I can.
It should be good for hair, skin and muscles. If I feel a certain need to eat something I will try to eat it. My body knows what is best for it.

The need for meat or fish is there, seldom for beans.
I love beans, all sorts of but I do not believe my body can get all the needed proteins out of it. I would need to eat a bathtub filled with it a day! An other side of beans is they contain carbohydrates.

My favourite protein is meat, beef above all but I do not or rarely eat it.

Beans I love. I always did but they contain carbohydrates. This pot 60 or even more and I can eat 7 max a day.
