To be honest I have no idea, yet.
I know an aunt had a "wonderpan". It was electric and meant for baking a cake. I never actually see her use it.
I promised @heartbeat1515 to find a way.
So far I tried 3 different options with cake dough.
- Frying in a pan
- Using a huge pan as an oven and put a mold in it
- Using a pan as a baking mold and hanging it into a pan of hot, close to boiling, water.
Frying in some oil...
If you manage to do this on a low fire and close the pan it might work.
Some of mine were a bit burned.
Using a huge pan on the stove.
The only reason I used a mold was to prevent the paper cupcake molds to collaps.
The result after 1 hour on the fire is disappointing. Still dough and partly burned (including the paper).
This will not do your pan any good.
The temp is easily 180°C I checked it with an oven thermometer.
This proved method was the biggest disappointment.
Over an hour later it remained the same except for being warm. It was more like porridge for babies which can be made in 7 minutes.
W.E. Coyote would say "back to the drawing board and that is exactly what I am going to do. I will figure out a way to bake a pie, make snacks, celebrate, without an oven.
