The Steemit Heritage campaign held in portharcourt Nigeria, was a huge success. Organized by Steem Accelerator Hub (STACH) in pursuit of the 6-months mini-target of introducing and educating at least 10,000 Nigerians on Steemit, kicked off on the 14th and ended yesterday being the 15th of October.
the simple fact that pleasure park, portharcourt usually is a beehive on weekends (as numerous families and young people converge to chill and have fun) made it an ideal location for the campaign. the serene environment and beautiful lush gardens added to the sparkle of the events.

The STACH Team added colour to the event by setting up a registration stand, free photographs and a free Wi-Fi connection for everyone nearby throughout the event.. this got the citizens talking about Steemit. we also held discussions and talks with the people, in concerns for what they do for a living, and how Steemit could support their dreams, make them better at their jobs, and free them financially!
lets give these guys their Dreams back!
below are some photos of the newly registered Steemians this weekend.

could have sworn I saw this guy twitch!
we were able to print colourful Steemit fliers and banners, Stickers, etc to support the campaign graphically, the STACH CREW held talks with interested citizens and handed out free Tee-shirts and Data plan gifts to them to ensure they start training soon.
are we having fun yet?
Lord knows we did! lots of fun and excitement to go round, we saw this as an opportunity for Steemians in portharcourt to meet-up as well. hence, I got to connect with some really cool people.

also, Team Big kitchen made a huge king Burger Hill with seafood and all the fillings.
What's Next: the ripple effect!
This is the beginning of something new here in Nigeria, we are disrupting social media Norms at the speed of light. more people are finding their way to steemit in large numbers. some of the people we talked to did find it too good to be true, and couldn't hide their joy when proofs were shown. (I mean, a social media that pays?
Where else would I rather be). so they in turn tell their friends, and their friends tell other people friends and it goes on from there.
we envisage more waves of Steemit campaigns and expositions all over Nigeria by various interconnected groups. (Lagos, Ife, Abia, Delta, Benin, etc).
stands will be setup in strategic places to create effective awareness of the Public.
Steemit is poised to bridge the gap between people all over the world as well as support their dreams. we will continue to ensure that Steemians are equipped with the proper mindset that will on a large scale, contribute to the Growth of the community!
there are no squares in the Universe.
forgetting Color of skin and Race, we are one! and
the connection and cool amongst Steemians goes a long way to prove just that!
And finally closing;
The event ended with a team-talk as we were encouraged by the team leader @ejemai to keep on promoting Steemit within and beyond our friend circles.
team leader @ejemai giving the boys some charge
finally ending, we encourage you to
find what you love and let it kill you.
