Inspiring Ecosystem Natural Wonders

The good, the bad, the ugly, nature takes us on an emotional understanding that transcends rational thought, words or language, any story can be told using photography, each culture defines different reaction as to how we perceive different aspects in nature from our youth and learning.

Positive reaction to young ducklings we quack about how cute they are, then think little to nothing more. Ducks help with environment because the can clean the chemicals from water ensuring their duck friends and other animals don't die or get seriously ill, when ducks are in wetlands health of water improves.

Birds are great at spreading seed around that provide us with food, medicine and timber, some travel long distances eating on the move, assisting with germination when eating fruit, removing the pulp and scratching the seed.

Crocodiles have an important role in wetland environment, assisting to keep the balance in complex veins of life in freshwater and estuarine ecosystems. Key predators at the top of the food chain eating a wide range of prey.

Next time you see these ancient old warriors, don't let the first thought go to handbags or shoes, eating a croc steak or similar, consider how long they have survived to help our world tick over the way it should.

Yellow greets you in the pond, (yes some flowers for cheerful Denise @dswigle). Water lilies rooted in soil at the bottom of wetlands or lakes, with leaves and pretty flowers visible up above provide important benefits to our ecosystem creating food and shelter for both aquatic and non-aquatic wildlife.

Snakes help keep a healthy ecosystem and environment, (so avoid them rather than kill them), let's stop and think about a role snakes play by killing rodents they kills of fleas and ticks riding on the animal, they are able to slither into hidden places birds of prey or small animals are unable to enter into.

Snakes are both predator and prey, some snakes will be swooped up by birds for a meal, other snakes eat snakes, much like rodents we don't need and excess of them and definitely do not need them introduced into regions where they don't belong, snakes IMHO should not be kept as pets either, only permits should be given to qualified snake handlers.

Whether your hair stands up on end at the thought of half of the things around, or perhaps fascinated and enjoy seeing the unusual, treat everything in nature with respect, it is there carrying out it's daily duty!

Photography is all my own using a Canon PowerShot A530, closing off the day with some thoughts as to what we share our beautiful blue planet with and what they do to enrich our lives, hope you enjoyed reading, have a wonderful new week wherever you live.
