Magnolia Grandiflora blooms from Magnolia tree and for me it’s a power flower. Why? Simply because the tree is not just a total head turner for its bountiful blooms that will last from early spring to summer but grandiflora tree blooms are also edible!
Grandiflora Magnoli Tree Facts
- Grandiflora is a latin/ spanish word & literally means great flowers.
- Originated from Southeast Asia and North America, it is now a worldwide grown.
Magnolia is the National Flwer of Korea - There are 7 genes, 220 species and atleast 9 types of the magnolia family are edible.
One of these edible Magnolia is the Grandiflora. It’s pinky white tulip like bloom is totally a head turner and most of all, it’s an edible flower. - Some parts of Englands are a fun of making a pickle from this blooms because of its exquisite flavors and also use a condiments or spice.
I captured these beautiful blooms in one of the parks here in Staffordshire from yesterday’s Sunday walk. Though the weather is so gloomy, this power flower always adds colors to my dull day.
