Dim litted street

Now here's a subject I seldom photograph: streets! But for this week's Qurator's Photo Quest, digged in my archives. And truth is, didn't had to dig long! In the last days of 2019, I roamed into a street that I did wanted to photograph!

This is Naviglio Grande, a beautiful street in the Navigli neighbourhood, in Milan. It was my first day in Milan, and I had heard of this neighbourhood and decided to go for a walk, without any real expectations on what to find. And I arrived in the perfect time! As dawn settled, the colours reflecting on the water canal and the laid back feeling on the street needed to stay on camera!

This is one of the tops of the street, where boat cruises along the water canals depart. From there, the street stretches along the canal, being crossed by several bridges.

And as the sun sets, this spot gets crowded, with everyone wanting to get that beautiful sunset photo of a fully lighted street.

After sunset, you can enjoy the several restaurants that line both sides of the canal. Or even before the sunset, to enjoy the typical italian aperitivo.

I remember a few friends saying that I would be disappointed with Milan, that there was no beauty to be seen. Well... I sure disagree! Loved the city, and this neighbourhood in particular!
