Hello Guys , specially to all foodies all over the globe. Hope you're all doing great. We had a very short vacation in my hometown, my province , where i had my childhood , teenage and young adulthood. One of the things i love whenever i go home there are the foods. Yeah! super nutritious , fresh and specially made by the family. You know that lucky feeling that all you need to do after waking up is to sit down and satisfy your tummy. Unlike when i am here on our rented house, i am doing it all , cooking food that i can 😂. So today, i would like to share one of the foods we had during the vacation. It is special because it was cooked by my mama and papa . We had this in one of our lunch there. It's one of the traditional Filipino food , and it will satisfy you more because it's like a paired dish. So what is it i am bragging about?
Sauteed Mung beans and Crispy Pork
The mung bean dish is popular here in the Philippines every Friday , we call it Munggo Friday . and it's very affordable and easy to cook as well. This one prepared by mama has tomatoes and chili leaves in it , which made it flavourful. I can even eat it without rice 😋. What's making mung soup more exciting to eat is .. if it's paired by any meat or fish fried dish. And this one we've had was lechon kawali , cooked by my papa. It's any liempo part of the pork i think that has special spices and was deep fried. It's so crispy and tasty.. a perfect blend to the taste of the soup. Everybody's tummy was happily filled . Burp!
