The Answering
In the first part of this mini-series, we posed 16 questions with many more subquestions related to the overall theme of each question, and in the hopes that maybe we could come up with some answers based on what is written in the bible, and not based on after-market apologetics.
So without too much fluffing or aggrandizing, I present to you, the Answers I have arrived at after many years of research and poring over the Bible.
#1: Where does God Reside?
A: [1], [2], [3], [4]
We read in these four verses that Jehovah dwells in both, "Thick darkness" and "thick dark clouds".
I wonder what kind of entity lives in darkness?
#2: When were the Angels created?
A: There is no answer in the bible regarding this question. At one point they are just casually mentioned with no background or introduction. Billy Graham dances around the question and never states when the Angels were created. He then goes on to say don't worship or focus too much on them because Jesus is your only concern.
#3: What happened in Genesis 1:27?
A:[1]
Man AND WOMAN are both created here, and are sent into the garden to multiply and be fruitful. They are created TOGETHER, by a God that says "In OUR Image". Which some say is the Trinity, but that theory doesn't seem to be scripturally sound based on lack of any mention in the Old Testament. And when one considers that the Ancient Hebrews recognized Yahweh had a consort, things get interesting. [Author's note: More on this topic soon.]
#4: When was Adam created?
A: [1]
In Genesis 2:7, we find Adam created, many verses, and even a new chapter after Man and Woman were created together. On top of that, this event takes place after creation has been concluded, and after God has rested. One might make the argument that Genesis Chapter 2 is a more detailed account of creation. However, this argument is flawed by multiple facts.
The first problem encountered is Genesis 1:24 which tells us "Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind"; and it was so."This event takes place on Day 5 of creation, 1 day before the Advent of Man.
Later in Chapter 2 Genesis, God decides that Adam is lonely and needs a companion, and so in Genesis 2:19 (again, after the completion of creation...) God creates the animals AFTER Adam has been created and before Woman/Eve (who doesn't get a name until she is afflicted with the pain of childbirth).
Another stumbling block is the fact that these events take place after the conclusion of God's rest, and in all of Genesis chapter 2, there is no encouragement from God to "go forth and multiply, be fruitful." He instead curses them and causes afflictions and suffering.
#5: Why was Man created?
A: [1]
The bible makes no bones about the answer to this question. Man was, quite simply, to be a slave. Man was created to work the fields.
#6: Where is God?
A: This one is sort of a weird one (and unfortunately a repeat. I was trying to attack this question from a different angle than the first question.) I have heard pastors and preachers say that God refuses to have any dealings with Sinners, and disbelievers actively eject god from their hearts and minds. However, if he is omnipresent, wouldn't he, by default be in the hearts and minds of sinners? Or if the whole world rejected God, would that end his presence and influence here?
#7: When is Satan first mentioned by name?
A: [1]
Satan shows up in Job 2:1. Before that, there is no mention of the name Satan specifically, which mean's 'adversary'. Interestingly, the Serpent is a symbol of wisdom in nearly every culture save for a notable few. Including the one we are analyzing. He tells God, in unambiguously that he was "...walking up and down in it." How was he walking if, as a serpent, he had his leg's removed?
#8: Why does Jesus say "Nobody worships my Father here, or in Jerusalem?"
A: This question lacks a definitive answer in the Bible, also. When Jerusalem and the area they traveled was home to many who were of the same religion as Jesus, it becomes odd that while they worship Jehovah, they don't worship "The Father".
Conclusion
