Foxon Park - Orange

Soda Review

Foxon Park Beverages, Inc. is a family owned business located in East Haven, Connecticut for over 90 years. New Haven, Connecticut is well known as the pizza capital of the world. A Foxon Park soda and a slice of New Haven Pizza goes together just like peanut butter and jelly. At almost every traditional New Haven-style pizza joint you can guarantee there will be a fridge stocked full of Foxon Park sodas. Foxon Park's Orange is an absolute pizza-time classic. The fizzy, citrus flavor of the Foxon Park Orange puts the more popular orange soda brands to shame.

The Bottle

The soda comes in a clear 12 fluid ounce glass bottle. It looks just like a classic soda pop bottle. The label features a couple of oranges, one of them sliced. The Foxon Park slogan "All-Ways in Good Taste" is written on the side of the label. The bright orange soda can be seen through the glass. I imagine the label and bottle hasn't changed much since 1922.

The Soda

Like all Foxon Park sodas, the Orange is delicious! The carbonation factor of the Foxon Park beverages is incredible. Each sip leaves a bubbly and tingly feeling on the palate. The soda is made with natural flavors and real sugar giving it a true orange-taste. As you can see below, when I poured it into a glass it has a cloudy orange color, much more like orange juice than the typical orange sodas you would find on the mass-market. If you ever find yourself in New Haven County be sure to stop by a classic pizza joint and refresh yourself with a Foxon Park!
