As i read the article by MarketWatch i could not help but feel uneasy and even now i feel like there is some kind of hidden agenda to all this, Ripple has a reputation as a "Bankers Coin" and it seems that they now have the green light from the Hollywood bigwigs which does not happen by accident.
I think that this kind of publicity can only happen when the elitists allow it to and those same elitists are the ones who are happy to exist in the current economic framework of fractional reserve banking and would like to do away with the competition and the ethos that Bitcoin and alike provide.
