My 2nd #roadtosteemfest post - I think I missed a week, but hey, who's counting?
The first post is here, and is part of a series organised by @anomadsoul in which attendeess are free to talk about themselves, and their thoughts ahead of attending the event in November. His latest post is here.

SMTs hit Palma, Majorca - Balearic Islands, Spain.
Having just celebrated my two year anniversary on the Steem blockchain, and there being less than two weeks until I've not sat behind a desk for a whole year, you could say i'm fairly involved with Steem.
I share a witness (@steemcommunity), I'm a Community Manager for @utopian-io, a (bad) @curie curator, a random list-producer, host of the Engagement League, and a delegator of free Steem Power to the following people and community accounts:

You could say Engagement is my thing, and last time I checked, I'm comfortably in the top 20 most verbose commentators on the Steem blockchain in 2018.
I've long supported the notion that unless you are an Orca or bigger, or produce an outstanding piece of interesting content, the road to victory here is in the comments section. And as a small Dolphin (around 12400 SP owned), I don't think I'm going to change how I Steem-it anytime soon.
My content is a mix, I've not really pinned down a niche, and have no plans to really. Some know me as the list-man, or the utopian analyst, and some are just keen to know what's going on with me and my blockchain hippy happenings here in Majorca, Spain. So what is happening here at present?
Well, it's the middle of the summer season, and the place is crowded. Pretty awesome when you have plenty of cash to splash, not so much so when you are on a budget and have a reasonably expensive trip planned. I'm getting by though, just about, and saving my STEEM up in my wallet for the event ticket. This was boosted yesterday by the Lord of the Steem himself, who just, as you do, dropped a memo over to me yesterday evening:
Just unbelievable generosity, I'm so grateful to you for all you've done for me, and the community this past year. One of a kind, and I'd love for you to be attending to thank you in person. Thank you!
I think the ticket prices will be announced soon, but thanks to this donation, I now have 260 STEEM in my savings for the Steemfest 3 ticket. Last year the price of the cheapest (and I'm sorry Roeland, but I think this might be my option again this year!) was around 300 STEEM, so I'm well on course and can nudge my likelihood of attending to 99% today :D
Last year, and as mentioned in the announcement post this time around, there is a travel reimbursement fund. I didn't take advantage of this last year as I was fairly close to the event, and felt that others were on a tighter budget than myself. I may take the @t-r-f up on their kind offer this time around.
Donations to the @t-r-f Travel Reimbursement Fund - feel free to donate money there, which will get distributed to applicants after SteemFest3 just like previous years...
I've heard a rumor of a boys calendar to raise funds for a female attendee - anyone else heard about this?!
The last thing I'd like to mention, which is I guess to secure my trip and help with general cost of living, is that i'm looking at getting part-time bar work. I've got 0 experience pulling pints, but have watched one or two being poured for me and so hopefully I'll learn the ropes fairly quickly. And I guess this will provide scope for some new content, because I'm sure you are all bored of looking at photos taken from the bottom of the road that look like this:
Best of luck to all potential attendees on a budget saving up for Steemfest 3.
Have a lovely day all!
