I can't remember the last time I did a business trip, it may have been to Belgium which I wrote about here. And damn, that was before the @SteemitWorldMap started so I don't have any pins of Belgium on the map. Now I have to find something to write about Belgium so I can add a pin there.
Talking of the SteemitWorldMap, this was my first "job" on Steemit. I jumped on board when it started and have been with the Map ever since. Since then, I've had other "jobs" on Steemit including moding on the @TravelFeed discord channel, authoring for @Promo-Mentors and my most recent role, joining @OCD as a curator. I call these "jobs" in a very loose sense as I do get rewarded for most of my effort, but it's not a job as you and I normally know.
Apart from Promo-Mentors who haven't been active for a long time, all the other teams, or at least some team members will be at SteemFest. I'm looking forward to meet them all in person at last. I guess you can call that a business meeting, though there is no business to be done. Or will there....? In reality, these folks have become my virtual friends, I've seen most of their photos, communicate a lot online, and know quite a bit about some of them and their life. The only person I haven't seen before is @acidyo from OCD. I wonder if he will go to SF4? Or perhaps he and @anomadsoul are actually the same person .... or maybe Acid is really a she pretending to be a he 🤔 Alll will be revealed at SF4 ... or not. Anyway, my point is, the line between busines and pleasure is blurred on Steemit. Going to SF4 is for pleasure as much as for business.
Actually, conditions permitting, I would have loved to use SF4 as an opportunity to launch a little side business. But it's a bit too early for that, so my "side business" will have to stay as my "side pleasure" for the time being. And that brings me to my SF4 Surprise. I've provided an update on that in all my #roadtosteemfest post. I'm glad to report, things are back on track now. I've also tweaked my plan a bit to make it more achieveable, so things are look good.
