Crack of dawn wake ups with a roll over nap is beginning to become the standard of this vessel. Did some internet-ing over a mug after my statutory porridge and sliced banana breakfast. There is a story behind my obsession with porridge for breakfast yet it can wait for another time.
Made some plans for the day and created a short list. Hit the facilities and had a shower and filled up the water bottle.
Went over to the Marina's Office and they photocopied the Purchase Agreement between Chris and myself. The agreement states that he will continue his insurance policy on Makina until one can be secured by me. They also graciously printed the application that Marnie, the insurance agent, had emailed me.
Upon my return to Makina both Marnie's form and a copy of Hugh's survey were sent to her via email.
HIVE was having some connection issues from late last night, my time, until this morning. Could be a denial of service attack. We can only hope that someone wants HIVE so bad that they would cyber ransom for it. Finally had a chance to pretty up last night's post once HIVE was accessible again.
With as much business as can be done on a Sunday out of the way another bus trip was made to the No Frills grocery store to get a cashback for some needed change for washing machines, bus fares and the like. Was pleased to learn from the bus driver that the route is now going to run daily throughout the rest of the summer; so there will be less need to stretch supplies from weekend to weekend.
Of course before getting my cashback just had to make a stop at my new favorite store; the Dollar Tree. Got cookie sheets, a better glasses strap, a small screw driver set to install the forward cabin's door and a funnel set (perhaps more on them later).
The Marina had sent me a link to their online application form while at the store. Filled that in with Chris helping me out with a few details through text messages. He also gave me the heads up that tomorrow is a banking holiday; which could have been embarrassing for me had he not informed me. Chris said he is fine with payment for Makina on Tuesday. Chris is such an easy guy to do business with. He is even going to give me a ride around town this week to pick up the engine parts once Jose gives me the list of things he will need to finish off the install. This project feels on course!
May the wind be at your back!
