A little after posting yesterday's log Pierre sent a text that he was thinking of heading back on Sunday. He was wondering where he might leave his car in Lunenburg. Took the dinghy into Zwicker's and talked with the Lads there. They suggested a parking lot down towards the Shipyard. They said it had a sign restricting RVs from using it, yet cars should be fine.
When going to check it out it was a pleasant surprise to see that the folks that the mooring ball is rented from, the Boat Locker, is right across the street. We should be able to leave a note on his dashboard saying that if we need to be contacted to ask for us at the Boat Locker. Pierre seemed pleased with that plan.
Picked up some food supplies and headed back to Makina.
Got a little closer to that Yankee Clipper mentioned last post. Not much more details of its history though. Perhaps a reader can date the version of the Stars and Stripes they are flying; although not the clearest shot of it.
The weather turned into a heavy rain by early evening. My Daughter and Son-In-Common-Law asked me to join them in a hack and slash on Ashes of Creation to level their characters up a bit more. It turned out to be a great session with everyone advancing their character's stats.
It was past midnight when we finally called it a night. Fell asleep to the rhythm of rain falling on the cabin's roof.
It was still raining when waking up towards mid-morning. Touched base with Pierre and he had started down from Ottawa but would probably stop along the way overnight. Called Zwicker's Wharf to reserve a berth for Monday. The first thing tomorrow Racheal, at the Shipyard, could be called to arrange a time to get our diesel jugs filled. Once that was done then Makina could be taken to Zwicker's. It would be easy, then, to get supplies and prep for departure by putting on water as well.
Will get this update to the log posted and head over to Zwicker's to square up for tomorrow.
