For all you SmartCash hodlers, the SmartRewards are one of the best features of the cryptocurrency

As a reminder to people new to SmartCash, in order to be eligible for SmartRewards, you must hold at least 1,000 Smart in an eligible SmartRewards wallet (all wallets on the software wallet) and not have any outgoing transactions from the 25th of one month til the 25th of the next.
We are rewarded with additional Smart each month simply for holding. This balance fluctuates every month, depending on the number of eligible wallets.
I had been checking smartcash.cc for updates on the current rewards percentage, but recently have noticed the smartrewards calculator does not include the current rewards percentage.
It turns out there is a site dedicated to such information!
As a way to check the current rewards total, you can see the most up to date rewards estimate from this website, courtesy of blockchainlibrary. As of this writing, the current Rewards total for the month of March is 3.41%. This total will increase slightly as we get closer to the 25th snapshot.
Past percentages are as follows:
February 25th, 2018: 4.7%, 4,664 addresses
January 25th, 2018: 6.2%, 3,314 addresses
December 25th, 2017: 8.0%, 2,486 addresses
November 25th, 2017: 13.4%, 1,312 addresses
October 25th, 2017: 25.0%, 884 addresses
September 25th, 2017: 38.4%, 585 addresses
August 25th, 2017: 40.53%, 289 addresses
As you can see, the rewards percentage has decreased as more addresses become available. Currently there are 12,900 addresses eligible for this month, almost 3x as much as last month.
If you are interested in taking advantage of the SmartReward, purchase 1,000 Smart before the 25th of March to be eligible for the April Rewards payout. Think SmartCash, not hard cash :)
