Hey Splinterlands fans
I've been playing the game for some time now and slowly picking up cards during each season to improve my deck. One way to enhance your deck is by combining cards to increase their level and unlock new abilities that will help you in battle.
Twice as nice
Each monster has its unique abilities, some have multiple skills, and they are all unlocked at various levels. One of my favourite abilities is the double strike which allows a monster to attack twice in one round instantly.
The double strike effect
I already have three monsters with the ability to use the double strike, and I'm not sure if any other monster has it yet as I continue to upgrade my deck I'll find out. To check if your monster has the double strike ability hover offer the card and if you see an icon with two sets of lightning on it, it means you have double strike active for that specific monster.

When does the double strike come in handy?
The double strike is excellent for battles when there is minimal manna available to select monsters to you effectively have two monsters for the price of one manna. Having an extra attack in a round over your opponent can make all the difference between winning and losing.
Making double strike even more effective
Depending on your monster you could even improve the effectiveness of your double strike as with melee monsters. If you have a monster in your team that has inspired their melee attack will be increased by one attack point, making double-tap even more useful.
The double attack is also useful when all monster has the sneak ability which allows melee monsters to attack from anywhere which makes them even more dangerous as they can take out anyone on the board with a double hit.
