Introduction
Hello there! @Saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!
I'm here again for this week's Share Your Battle Challenge with the featured card: Regal Peryton. It is a 5 mana- cost magic splinter for the Earth element with 1 magic, 6 health and 5 speed at level 1 and greatly synchronizes with the Chaos Legion summoner Obsidian and a very effective card to use on Earthquake for its Flying ability.
Before we proceed with the battle, let us explore more about this cards.

Lore
They say there is nothing more beautiful than a Regal Peryton. They prefer to live in the mountains all across the Splinterlands, rarely seen by others. When they soar through the skies, the sunlight catches through their wings and creates rainbows underneath them. Regal Perytons are highly intelligent and consider themselves noble guardians of the natural world, using their magic to help others. Continue Reading...

Card Review
Prons
Very fast card even at level 1 that makes it difficult to be hit by melee and range monsters.
Posses the Flying ability which gives it 25% dodge chance and immune to damage from Earthquake rule set.
Magic damage can directly get past most armors, dealing direct damage to the health of the opponent.
Cons
It only has 1 ability that it can use even at max level.
Speed will be a disadvantage on Reverse Speed where the priority of attack goes to the slower monsters.
Regal Peryton is a magic monster of the Earth element that I usually play as my back- line monster because it is very fast and with the Flying ability, the chances that it will be hit by monsters with the Sneak ability becomes smaller and as a magic monster, it can still attack even at the first position so it's Ok if it is the last monster to survive. When it reached level 8, it will have a total of 3 magic damage, 8 health and 7 speed but it has no other abilities to be unlocked.

Battle Phase

With only 2 elements available, chances of choosing the same element is high but not only that we have the same element, my opponent chooses the same summoner Quix the Devious which gives _1 speed and -1 range to all opponent monsters as well as most of our monsters but the opponent has the advantage of having higher level monsters than me as they have stronger stats and more abilities. Since the rule set has Earthquake, I build my team most with Flying ability but I also have Carnage Titan that despite not having Flying, has huge armor and with Queen Mycelia, its armor has increased by +2 as well as it also adds armor to the rest of the team. The opponent has the same the same monsters but with higher level. The only difference between our teams aside from the monster positioning is that the opponent used Unicorn Mustang for the tank while I use Pelacor Mercenary then the opponent has Goblin Psychic while I have Dragon Jumper.

At the end of round 1, they defeated my Pelacor Mercenary and left my Carnage Titan with only 2 health while the opponent line- up has all of its monster still alive, making it seams like I am more likely to lose. I can't deal magic damage on Unicorn Mustang because of the Void ability which reduces magic damage but thanks to the Explosive Weaponry rule set and the Scattershot from Chaos Dragon, I was able to deal some damage to the opponent.

On Round 2, Dragon Jumper defeated the opponent's Queen Mycelia but not before mine was defeated by the opponent's Regal Peryton. My Chaos Dragon attacks the Chaos Dragon of the opponent which also goes through Goblin Psychic and indirectly defeating it then the Chaos Dragon of the opponent strikes back by attacking my Chaos Dragon dealing damage to both my Regal Peryton and Dragon Jumper. Luckily, no further damage was done because the rest of the opponent monsters miss their attacks.

On round 3, the rest of the armor from Carnage Titan was removed by the Earthquake damage which allows Dragon Jumper to finally deal damage to it then my Chaos Dragon attacks the opponents Regal Peryton which defeated it and indirectly defeating Carnage Titan at the same time. The Opponent' Chaos Dragon comes back again by attacking my Regal Peryton but still left with 1 health.

Round 4 is when the battle ends as the last Unicorn Mustang and Chaos Dragon of the opponent was taken down but not before they defeated my Dragon Jumper. It is a close fight where the opponent only needs to attack once in order to defeat my team.

Here is a replay of the battle which at you can watch at 3speak or in Splinterlands.

Did your Strategy Work?
Despite the gap in levels and abilities, my team still prevails and that is because I put a good use on the Earthquake rule set with lots of Flying monster. Not having the -2 damage from the rule set alone removes the risk of my team losing. Still, without that 1 extra blast damage from Regal Peryton and everything will go upside down.

Do You Like Regal Peryton
Regal Peryton might be lacking on abilities but as a magic card that can directly attack a monster's health, this was still a card of consideration and as this card is very fast and has Flying ability, it was great on Earthquake and against Sneak opponents.

What will you try differently next time?

This time, I was playing on modern league but if I was playing on wild with the same rule set and element choice, using Delwyn Dragonscale together with Regal Peryton will allow this monster to deal more damage and giving me more chance of winning.
