Golden Times in the SPLINTERLANDS

After some dinner and family time, I thought I would give it a shot once again for Gold League. I wasn't expecting much since I wasn't due for another quest until later tonight, and after reaching a rating of about 1830 and then sliding back down into the upper 1500's low 1600's player rating, I figured Gold League would have to wait until next season.

I won my first 3 battles as soon as I started playing again. I was feeling pretty good now rating back at 1670. I then went back and forth winning and losing staying at 1670 when all of a sudden I went on a winning streak.

I don't know if the gaming algorithm was giving me a break, or the Blockchain Gods were feeling sorry for me, but I went on an 8 straight games winning streak. The last win put me at a 1918 player rating, crossing from Silver I league to the Gold III League with a few days left in the season. For now my brain is fried, and I will continue my Splinterland's quest for Champions' League later.

Now as far as game playing suggestions go, I will reiterate what I stated in my previous Splinterlands' post, and that is to pay attention to your opponent's battle history in order to predict his game play and counter it with the suitable monsters. It doesn't always work of course, but it most definitely will improve your game play. The next important thing to pay attention to at this point is also the rules to each battle, as they do change each and every battle. Some rules do require you to use or maybe to not use certain Monsters for that particular battle, and a mistake in using the wrong Monster under certain rules is an almost guaranteed loss, so pay attention and follow the rules!

I also recommend not only leveling up your Summoners to at least Level 2 or 3, but I also recommend you level up some of your key Monsters to levels 2 and 3. I don't think I could have made it this far with having done so.

And for the final piece of advice or strategy for this post, I recommend to stack your attack sometimes.

What do I mean by "stack?"

Of course depending on the rules and my opponent's previous battle history, I sometimes use a Water Summoner, in this case the Alric Stormbringer Summoner, which provides a +1 Magic attack to all cards used in this battle that use the Magic attack. I then follow it up with Monsters that use the Magic attack such as the Sea Genie, who's Magic attack goes from 2 to 3 because of the Water Summoner. So now I am bypassing any armor and attacking with several 2 and 3 point Magic hits, which usually does the job.

Here I use the Spineback Turtle for its shield and heart, while the magic attack from Sea Genie and Ice Pixie will now increase & in some cases you might be able to throw in another Magic attacker

Anyone try this strategy and win, let me know in the comments below.
