The beautiful “Park of Bukovička Banja” (Bukovica Spa Park) is a hosting place of the art manifestation “Marble & Sounds”…
It was back then in 1966, when a group of artists and art lovers from Belgrade and Arandjelovac decided to establish the Symposium of the sculpture “White Venčac”. In the same year, in the marble quarry, known from ancient times in the world, on Venčac, seven artists carved their sculptures and left them in the luxurious ambience of the Bukovica Spa Park, thus creating a unique museum and a collection of sculptures of white marble under the open sky. Since 1973, the synthesis of marble and sound has been joined by ceramics, the International Festival "World of Ceramics" is being born.
For this occassion, I’m presenting a sculpture from the first year, 1966, of Angelina Gatalica, Belgrade sculptor, one of the original founders of the Symposium of the sculpture “White Venčac”. This sculpture is called “Motherhood”…
