Few hours ago, @steemitboard announced the results of the Meet the Steemians Contest organized for SteemFest³ in Kraków.
If you look at the result, you will notice that I was ranked #3, therefore winning 5% of the prize pool.

@gtg, ranked #4 at the contest, has already announced he will be donating his whole prize to @t-r-f.
That's also what @suesa (ranked # 2) decided to do by transfering the equivalent value of what she will soon receive to @t-r-f.

My personal choice goes to @rutablockchain
@rutablockchain is a project create by Steemians from Venezuela who are convinced that the best way to grow is through teamwork, sharing experiences and knowledge. They work on providing tools to society to improve their quality of life, through the dissemination of blockchain technology promoting economic, cultural and emotional development.
@danielvehe is one of the main actors of this project and provides an incredible job at promoting the blockchain in his country, especially Steem.
When SteemFest was announced, I suggested @danielvehe to come to Kraków to present his work and project, as it may be a good opportunity for him to get some support from the community. He honestly told me that he could not afford it, even if I was paying the SteemFest ticket and accommodation costs.
When the plane ticket costs you 30 months salary, the case is closed.
In Venezuela, the inflation rate as skyrocketed and the population there simply struggle for life.
This is where a project like Steem can be a real life changer and that's what Daniel and me have quite well understood. Hence my choice for a long time to support this project.
The butterfly effect
The few STEEMs I won will have a much bigger impact in @rutablockchain's wallet than mine, and I'm really excited about that.
I'm not asking you to follow my example, but if you feel like it, that would be absolutely awesome!
