Steem Fest³ was amazing - so many great memories. And by far one of the most fun ones was the event on the night of the 2nd day.
Bear Bowling 2018, the greatest bowling tournament I've ever been part of.
Beeeear Bowling 2018!
While I'm not a good bowler by a long shot, the thought of playing with and against fellow Steemians was pretty cool.
On top of that, I also expected that there would be some kind of prize awaiting for the winners.
However, when we arrived at the venue, I got told that no prize money had been selected. The "only" prize were three trophies, which looked great - but sadly nothing else.
That's where I got one of my 3 crazy ideas on Steem Fest³. (More about the two others in another post)
Crazy idea? Yes please!
Before I get into the idea, there is something you have to know about me:
I love coming up with spontaneous ideas - sometimes they're brilliant, sometimes they're crazy and sometimes they're both.
In this case - I'm not completely sure, so I'll let you judge for yourself.
600 STEEM Grand Prize
Once I realized there would be no official prize money, I decided I wanted to do something about it.
I personally love the thrill of knowing that I can earn a good chunk of money by winning. And I'm sure many of you feel the same.
So I got the idea of sponsoring 600 STEEM.
300 STEEM for the 1st winning team.
200 STEEM for the 2nd winning team.
100 STEEM for the 3rd winning team.
Finding Roeland
The next thing I needed to do was finding @roelandp, which was actually quite difficult.
If you were at Bear Bowling - you know: it was full, loud and very much chaotic in the beginning.
But regardless, after a few minutes searching, I found and told him about my idea.
He agreed to it and announced it before the games began.
Now, if you've been at Bear Bowling and didn't know about any Steem Prize, sorry about that - as I said earlier: it was a bit chaotic and the Steem prize idea was very spontaneous.
Team India vs Team Germany vs Team Japan
Spoiler alert: I sadly didn't win. Our team made of @noisy, @artbunny, @meno and myself tried our best, but the bowling god wasn't on our side.
However, that didn't matter. What followed afterwards, was a heroic finale between not only 2, but 3 different teams.
I didn't expect that, but it was actually amazing.

Who Played? Who won?
Honestly, all of you 12 played amazing and each one of you deserved the win.
In the end, the German team took the W, but for me - you all are winners!
# | Team | Player 1 | Player 2 | Player 3 | Player 4 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Germany | @rivalzzz | @louis88 | @felander | @jaki01 |
2 | India | @firepower | @aishwarya | @varunpinto | @wandereronwheels |
3 | Japan | @yoshiko | @kinakomochi | @hidemi | @fusan |
Prize Money Has Reached It's Destination
A few days ago I send away the prize money and as you might notice - used the wrong Bear ;)
Fun fact: I actually thought it would be called Beer Bowling because we were drinking so much Beer. But oh well.. :P
Final Thoughts
Again, Steem Fest³ was amazing and I want to thank @roelandp and the whole team for organizing it.
I'm already excited about numero 4.
