The 2017 Steemit Iron Chef Smoothie
It's officially Week #17, the last week of this year's @steemit-ironchef challenge. For the grand finale, @progressivechef asked us to combine at least 2 ingredients from a prior week for this challenge. I decided to step it up a notch. I used 7 of the 16, and those 7 ingredients will make up the entire dish. I will call this concoction The 2017 Steemit Iron Chef Smoothie.
Ingredients
Week 2 : Carrot
Week 3 : Beetroot
Week 5 : Pear
Week 7 : Apple
Week 9 : Banana
Week 13 : Orange
Week 16 : Avocado
Step 1: Chop and Combine:
1 Apple
1 Banana
1 Carrot
1 Pear
1/2 Avocado
2 Beets
Flesh and Juice of 1 Orange
Step 2: Add Ice
Blend it up a little and then add some ice. About 6 cubes will do the trick. Ice is the only ingredient that is not a part of the @steemit-ironchef challenge...
Step 3: Blend It
Blend until smooth and frothy. You may need to scrape the sides a couple of times in the process.
Step 4: Pour and Enjoy
This smoothie is loaded with healthy ingredients. It might not be the most pleasant of colors, but it was very delicious and nutritious.
