Following the latest crypto market movements, SBD is getting a push, meaning both its value and printing rate (inside the STEEM ecosystem, that is) are increasing. At the moment of writing, SBD printing rate was 100% again, which means rewards are to be paid entirely in SBD:
SBD printing rate is a tool intended to keep this token value pegged to $1 worth of STEEM, and its inner workings have been changed in the last HardFork (number 20) to work in a much snappier way. In short, when the debt-to-ownership ratio is fluctuating between 9% and 10%, SBD printing rate is also going very fast from 0% (printing only STEEM) to 100% (printing only SBD).
Steem on!
