Why do people bid the last minute on the bid bots? Do you think you will get a better Return On Investment? News flash! Everyone is thinking the same as you. You wait for the last 2 minutes before sending your bid. You send your 5 SBD bid only to find that 5 other people did the same thing as you.
The result is not ideal.
To put things in perspective. In this round, bidders made a measly 32% return, 1.62 SBD for a 5 SBD, 0.96 cents for 3 SBD investment.
Why I use bid bots?
Steemit is great but lets face it, the majority of you are in it for the money. I thought that, in time, if I work hard enough, deliver great contents, I can be earning hundreds or at least a consistent 2 figure payout. Nine months on and my posts are only earning measly amounts.
If not for the delegated bots I contributed, I would be only getting cents, if not, nothing at all. This does put a damper on the spirit and motivation to consistently contribute to the blockchain.
It could be that my posts aren't really that great as I thought it would be. Even so, I put in a lot of time and effort, my fucking heart and soul into it. This post will probably take me 8 hours! Fuck!
How to get more views and $$$?
One simple rule that is recognized, yet not followed. That is, stop bidding once you see that the other bidders are making less than the amount they put in. For example, if I put in 5 SBD and the VOTE VALUE is less than 5, then don't bid, wait for the next round. The bots run every 2 hours or so, 24/7 and you have plenty of time with a minimum of 3.5 or 2 days. And there are heaps of bid bots to choose from.
If everyone does this, we will receive a greater return.
The image below shows an ideal time to stop bidding with the user earning more than half of their bid. The user bid Steem, which at the time was worth more than the SBD.
If you look further down the list that had bid SBDs, they are getting close to a 100% ROI or 89% to be exact. A lot more than 49%.
Making double the amount you put in is in the best interest of everyone.
Tools we use
I used to just send to the bots using the steemit UI. Then I found out about @yabapmatt's https://steembottracker.com/.
This really helped get better perspective on how much I would get in return if I bid a certain amount.
Very useful tool and a must if we all want to profit.
But I only want to get more views
Yeah you can get to trending if you bid at least 150SBD, provided you get an ROI of 100% and have 150SBD. Even if you just want to get some exposure by bidding lesser amount. There's no guarantee that a whale will drop you big fat vote. Which is what we want. Have rich friends on Steemit to upvote our contents.
If you want some followers, then you don't need to bid for bots. Just doing really good content can get you a decent following. Just do it consistently and frequently. A curie might even find it, get featured and receive a fat dollah. Emphasis on "might".
Wouldn't it be nice if we get more views and $$$?
Well we can! If you guys just stick to keeping the 100% ROI rule. The more amount of vote you get means more exposure. Just stop bidding when the vote value is less than the bid amount. Simples. The hard part is getting this message to everyone, soooooo..............
