What I'm calling the "Deflationary death spiral." - As workers buy less, having less wages, Capitalism begins to fail. The Capitalists push harder to reduce wages, and labor costs.... Closing the least profitable stores, laying off more people, who then can't afford to buy the shit!!! This causes more stores to close, as companies eventually go out of business, laying off thousands of workers -------> And so the cycle repeats, each time getting bigger, and bigger, and bigger, until the whole thing falls like a "Jenga" game stack.
They've delayed this since the '70s with credit. (47 years... A good run.) The problem is that credit implies repayment over time. When repayment exceeds the worker's ability, credit fails. Not just in the housing markets..... $30 and 40,000 car loans, maxed out credit cards, payday loans, Student loans have all benefited the Capitalists, as they have been extractive. Interest has always been taken. In some cases as is currently happening with payday loans - Even usurious!!! This creates a situation where the worker (Public) is strip mined of it's wealth, and the proceeds of it's production by the few (Wealth inequality.) The Capitalist takes over the power of Government, which is by it's very nature coercive, and extortionist to maintain and increase only his (The Capitalists) income level.... Thus his leisurely life style. All while the worker (Populace) suffers. Eventually when this Jenga tower falls, everyone suffers. This is all because we don't have truly free markets, but rather "Predatory Capitalism"!!! Capitalism always ALWAYS (ALWAYS) eventually becomes predatory. It can't help itself. It never sees that it's killing itself.......... A free market can never ever survive.
Now-------> Once this "Jenga tower" collapses, there is a great potential!!!!! Capitalism becomes bootstrap business. The great power of Government to tie the hands of individuals becomes nonexistent under essentially "Failed States". Freedom reigns. Distributed networks of production, (and now there's even a possibility of distributed currencies,) become the norm, replacing the centralized and controlled systems. (Not to say that the current system won't try to oppressively squash these distributed systems as collapse happens. Little kids jailed for lemon-aid stands, people punished for being "Off grid", Bitcoin exchanges shut down.) Soon enough oppression won't be able to fund itself. Open source information, and innovation such as 3D printing will take over (This isn't the World of abundance, but rather a redistributing of what's already here..... The actual producers (Workers) reaping the spoils of their own efforts. Able to freely do as they choose, unleashing a Tsunami of innovation, on a smaller appropriate technology scale. The proceeds will be denominated in means of transfer that will be distributed on a Worldwide system, free from central control. "Crypto-currencies" replacing fiat centralized corruption. Extractive health care, replaced by medical cures. Open source information replaced by capitalist control.
