Dear Steemians,
Over the weekend, I was talking to a steemian who inspires so many people around him. He told me about his steemit journey; how he joined, why he joined and how it has been ever since. It was bittersweet. Getting to know all the difficulties he went through before he started experiencing the victories. And whilst talking to him, I could literally see the sincerity brimming over from inside of him.
What I am trying to say is, I understand that Rome was not built in a day and whales were once planktons. But we have to do the best we can to help others. Newbies come on here on an endless stream everyday and most of them give up and leave. Most times, we attribute it to the fact that they wanted a get rich quick scheme. Most times we are wrong. Most newbies crash and leave because they do not have anyone to put them through the basics. They do not understand the platform, they do not have anyone who they can go to for help, they do not know the right communities to join and some communities do not even do anything to help them. That is the sad truth!

Steemit is a community built on love. I like to see the blockchain as a series of different people bonded by very strong cords, the strength of these chords being determined by the amount of love present. When we have new people in the community, we have to show them all the love we can. At that stage, their cords are weak, they do not understand the system. We have got to help these new ones and be patient with them. Correct them with love and help them grow on here. The truth is that for steemit to keep growing and progressing,we need new minds on the platform. This is because new minds will bring new forms of creativity and innovations for the betterment of the community and the world as a whole.
Steemit is a melting pot for ideas and creativity of all sorts. It is also a community which consists of people of different races, nationalities and backgrounds. What else can bond such diverse entities of not love?!!
Soon, steemit will be the one stop place for innovations of all sorts. Thereby becoming a community which possesses enormous intellectual potential which can revolutionize the world.
Many Steemians come from Third World countries where life is very difficult. Our various governments have failed us repeatedly, going back on their promises, looting funds and not providing the infrastructure we need. In my country, many people have given up on things becoming better. They cannot even trust anyone anymore. But that is where steemit comes in. Providing love and support to the people who are part of this platform. So, this virtual community is a home away from home.

So my dear Steemians, whatever you do, help as many people as you can. This creates a ripple effect that will change lives for the better. When you help people, even more people will help you when you need it. You never know when or how, but it happens.
