Truffle Pepper Bacon, Egg & Cheese on Rye
Steemit Sandwich Contest - Week 68
This week I am back in the #SteemitSandiwichContest hosted by @jaybird. After many weeks off, I spoke with @jaybird during @steemfest 3 in Krakow, Poland, and I became inspired to share my sandwiches once again. Today I made a Truffle Pepper Bacon Egg and Cheese on Rye Bread made with black pepper bacon and aged truffle gouda cheese.
Ingredients
2 Slices of Rye Bread
2 Fried Eggs
3 Strips of Black Pepper Bacon
Truffle Gouda Cheese
Crispy Fried Onions
Salt/Pepper
Hot Sauce
Butter
Step 1: Shred the Cheese
Shred up some aged truffle gouda cheese.
Step 2: Fry the Bacon
Fry up some black pepper bacon.
Step 3: Prepare the Toast
Lightly toast two slices of seeded rye bread.
Step 4: Fry the Eggs
Fry up two eggs. Load both sides with pepper. I prefer to make them over-medium with a bit of runny yolk.
Step 5: Melt it up!
After toasting the rye, add butter and cheese to both sides, melt it in the toaster. Top one side with bacon and the other with crispy fried onions.
Step 6: Add the Eggs
Add the two eggs to the toast and top it off with some hot sauce.
Step 7: Enjoy!
This breakfast sandwich is bursting with flavor. Dig in and enjoy!
