SteemPress has just made a new announcement today regarding the roadmap for 2018.
Both @fredrikaa and @howo will work full time to continue to improve on SteemPress on the Steem Blockchain starting August 10th. This is great news for many of us, who are now using this new plugin on our WordPress blogs. These are truly exciting times for us WordPress bloggers.
Using SteemPress is very simple. All you need to do is to install the SteemPress plugin onto your WP site.
1. Download the SteemPress plugin here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/steempress/
The team has done a fantastic job and it is now in Version 1.4
These are the features that are included:
• Automatic posting of articles to the Steem blockchain
• Conversion and cleaning of text to look good on different websites
• Automatic self-vote
• Add an original link to your blog
• Custom tags for each article
• Default tags if no tags are defined for an article.
• Optional posting
• Bulk posting
• Post scheduling
• Multiple steem account support
• Add (or not) the featured image on top of the steem post
• Category filtering
• Custom footer on steem2. Go to Add New Plugins in your WP dashboard
Upload the entire steempress.zip file.
Do not unzip the file. Upload the entire file onto your WP Plugin Dashboard.
3. Activate the Plugin.
A. Key in your Steemit username
- Make sure you key in the "@" there.
- For example: @rosatravels and not just rosatravels
(I want to thank the SteemPress Discord channel of their help here, especially @chuuuckie for this brilliant tip. I was stuck here because I could not get my WP blog post to post on Steemit because the '@" was missing.)
B. Key in your posting key and not your password key
C. Save the Settings
4. Create a new post.
Make sure on the right, you "tick" the box - publish to Steem.
Voila, As soon as you publish on your WP blog, the post will also appear on Steemit.
