So yesterday I decided I needed to donate my #0016 2018 Steem Silver Round to @welshstacker as part of an effort to make up the loss he suffered when his own order of the rounds were stolen before they arrived at his door.
I also reached out and made the offer to have other folks contribute a round to the "Care Package for Welshy" to send their goods to one centralized location in North America and we would ship them all together.
@sevinwilson has stepped up and offered to be the collector of the goods. We can all send him our rounds, and he will put them all in an insured package to Matt.
At this point, less than 24 hours later, it looks like we have SEVEN rounds headed over in this package. That's right folks. We have nearly made Welshstacker's order whole, as the stolen order contained 9 rounds.
So a couple of people expressed that they would like to contribute, but either didn't have enough rounds to be giving one away, or didn't have time to ship them out in a timely fashion. So here's the next step in the production.
I bought 13 of the rounds myself this year. I knew some of them would be going in to prize drawings, raffles, auctions etc, and my intent was to keep at least 5 for myself. One has been auctioned off, and I am donating #0016 to Welshstacker, leaving me with 11. So if you are interested in donating to the Care Package, but don't have a round to spare, I am offering to let you buy one from me at "cost" to be included in the care package.
So what's the catch? Why is Cost in parenthesis? Well, because cost is relative to the time of the buy. The cost of these rounds at Pre-Sale was $23.50 per round. And that is what I am selling for. $23.50 in STEEM or SBD. But for full transparency... STEEM was worth about $4.00 when I made my pre-sale purchase, and today it is worth $1.26... So If you buy one of these with STEEM at today's value, I'm making a profit as long as I hold that STEEM until we see $4 levels again... which I intend to do.
That's the full disclosure part of this pitch. I'm not losing money on this transaction in my mind... I am just not selling at the current going rate of $55-60 per round...
Since we are at about 7 rounds at this point, I will add two of my own rounds to the package I send to Sevin if someone out there wants to buy them from me for the express intent of sending them to Welshstacker.
I want to iterate, these are not for sale for you to receive. This is a donation to Welshstacker! Any rounds purchased from this post will be sent to @sevinwilson for inclusion in the package going to Matt Thomas, the designer of the art for the 2018 round
So how much STEEM or SBD do you need to send to be included in this donation?
STEEM - 19.0 per round
SBD - 22.0 per round
These rounds will be in the #0350 range, so no more super low numbers (I don't own any more to send). This offer is open to the first two people to state their desire to participate and send their transaction to my wallet (or one person, if one person is generous enough to pay for two rounds). Any additional transactions will be returned to the sender.
Let's get this done quick so we can send this package off to @welshstacker. He has been long enough without these rounds in his hands!
