What's up Steemit? Today I want to show my donation for the SSG Mega Raffle 2.0. I thought with the drawing taking place the beginning of September, this would be the perfect piece.
This piece was made by the United States Mint to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the 9-11 attacks on the World Trade Center. Congress passed a law on August 6, 2010, Public Law 111-221 instructing the Department of Treasury to have this coin struck.
Let's take a look at it!
Obverse
The Obverse depicts Lady Liberty holding the Lamp of Rememberance. You also see the lights shining in the air symbolizing the towers. This is a very beautiful coin.
Reverse
The reverse of coin is simple yet awesome in it's own way. The Eagle symbolizes the strength of the survivors, families and our nation. The words HONOR and HOPE adorn the bottom.
That's my donation to Mega Raffle 2.0. I don't think I've seen anyone post this coin on here so it should be a nice addition to someones stack. Time for me to get back to #cubelife. Have a great night!
