Steepshot has been in development for some time and currently have working versions for Android, iOS(Beta) and also have a desktop version.
My experience of using this app has been a good one the platform works very well for Android and has a clean and easy to use interface, i can't speak for iOS and it seems this is still a work in progress as the platform is still in beta.

I have never been an avid user of Instagram though using Steepshot has been a very enjoyable experience and has turned me in to an amateur photographer of sorts as i find myself always being on the lookout for an interesting shot.
Steepshot is definitely something i would recommend to any Steemian though you should be aware that 10% of all author rewards goes to Steepshot which i feel is fair, if you would like to stay on top of any developments give their Steem account a follow @steepshot.
