I went to sleep last night and woke up today having no idea that today was Easter Sunday. This is actually quite common for me with most holidays. This is true for a few reasons.
#1 I don't care about holidays at all because every day is an opportunity to live the dream. I have not had a job in 17 years so getting days of of work or vacation is no issue. I don't go to school nor do I send any of my children so thats not an issue either. Its crazy to ponder the vast differences between my "normal life" and what others "normal life" is like in this country. It would be impossible not to know when holidays are going to school or working a job because you would be off of school or job and of course it would cause to not only know but celebrate! So this leads me to the second reason I generally don't know when its a holiday.
#2 I often go weeks or months without leaving @gardenofeden my sustainable paradise where everyone that is most important in my life thrives together and where we have everything most important so there is very little reason to ever leave. Because I am not out in the world nor do I almost ever see anyone who is not living here the only info I get on what the world is doing outside is from the internet. I do generally check Steem every single day and every holiday there are posts about it, so I figure it out pretty quick.
If you check my posts from Christmas I only realized it was Christmas Eve on Christmas Eve and since everyone was celebrating it I decided to play the Christmas Game with the family. It was fun and I played Santa giving away thousands of dollars worth of free food as well as sustainable presents to the children.

The truth is I am giving away free food every day and in some years more than 40,000 meals worth of free food. Thats a lot of food and requires a lot more commitment and dedication than just on a holiday or special event.
I also find it Humorous That Both The Religious Holidays Have Fake Make Believe Characters As Their Focal Points. Santa and the Easter bunny...Getting people to have blind faith is that easy and that powerful....I won't say anything more about that.
Anyways happy easter to all. While I live a far different life I have compassion for those living differently and I wish you all the best not only on this day but on every day. I hope that you enjoy good food, those you love most and time doing things you enjoy. I know that I certainly will.
Remember that life can always get better, so dream and dare to believe and invest in your dreams.
