With Great Spirit, we bring you the highlights from Steemit Vision Quest ( #SVQ ) Week 18, exploring the theme: "The Dance." Here, we celebrate the creative spirit as we bring our inner visions into focus, prompted by the question: What does my higher self see?

The Spotlight - Week 18: The Dance
π₯
The artwork presented here by @fishyculture extends my faith that we are in good hands, because it reminds me of the many, many forces moving in harmony, and in unity, growing together. The Solar System, expanding as a series of spirals, is an excellent example of the ultimate "dance." With loving gratitude, I acknowledge @fishyculture for her 6th time in the Spotlight!!!!!!
Wonderful to think about the natural dance that exists in space, and the fact that we are constantly spinning and cycling around the Sun, with the moon circling around the Earth, with the stars accompanying us. And this thinking shows me signs of the natural dance that exists here on Earth, between the people, plants, animals, elements. And then my heart goes further into this exploration, discovering the dance that exists inside of us, with our souls marching and waltzing side-by-side. And here, I imagine a Creator, witnessing this dance, and smiling.
Personally, I love to consider the cosmos, imagining the celestial objects and the space in between, wondering about Creation and its infinite expansion. When I consider the openness and the vastness, I remember that I am small, on a planet so very small. This remembrance is liberating! This means that I and all my worldly worries are very little. This gives me hope, because it helps me to believe there is a Great Creator, whose artistry is awesome, whose care is colossal, whose touch is infinite, who is governing, guarding, and guiding us all, in all ways, always.

I've always found @trucklife-family's poetry to strum my heartstrings. Her words bring me places in my imagination, and expand my capacity to understand the potential realities and the possibilities of both physical and spiritual life. Here, her words themselves dance. This creative writing moves me mentally and emotionally too.
Poem Excerpt:
We are many things,
we are more that what we seem
we are meant for movement
we are meant to be wild and free
we hold inside this wisdom
that has grown for centuries
we hold our own beat and rhythm
we are at one with the birds and the trees.

This original illustration expresses "The Dance" with a ballerina, surrounded by butterflies and musical notes. It's an excellent artwork, we can all agree, and I appreciate the way she reveals her artistic process here. I admire the ballerina's closed eyes, and her high posture, suggesting she is moved by the forces that uplift her spirit. The butterfly symbol feels fitting here.
Seeing this vision, I'm reminded of something special a dancer once told me: "To a ballerina, the rarest, most precious moment in a dance is when someone expresses themselves to the edge, and falls. Falling is the ultimate act of vulnerability."

With this vision, the artist @ksenja gives us a sensual and strikingly beautiful impression of the tango dance. From what I understand about the tango, this dance is a follow-the-leader pattern, where the leader's affectionate embrace gives openings for the follower to respond with equal and opposite affection and artistry. To me, the illustration here is appropriately vibrant, flashy, and colorful, correlating with the nature of the dance. I love it!

Art inspires art. I've seen many examples of photographers and painters whose works are inspired by musicians. And these photographs and paintings expand upon the legacy of the the music that originally inspired it all. How wonderful! I'm so glad Jimi Hendrix music outlives the man, and continues to make positive impressions on other artists, who carry forward the torch of his creative fire.

As usual, @celestialcow's artwork is multi-faceted. This time, we're first introduced to an art film, featuring a time-lapse waterside scene with a classic grainy texture and a gritty, glitchy electronic soundtrack, as if to dramatize the impossibility of capturing nature's perfection. This video is juxtaposed beside a poem that invites us back into the above scene with a new set of eyes and ears, looking and listening.
Poem Excerpt:
A hundred swifts
in flight
Dancing in
the twilight
In rhythmic
formation
Dreaming out
life's creation

I offer my thanks to SVQ co-facilitator, @rensoul17, who brings us a celebration of life's dance. Her article features a spiritually-channeled message, given by The Oracle of Met{t}a, giving us invitations for connecting with each other, connecting with nature, and connecting with our higher selves, through dance. How timely she is to express this invitation, when we will so greatly benefit from dancing with life. How open she is to be vulnerable, and share the story of her dance with us. Thank you, sister, for sharing your vision in this way.
Article Excerpt:
My heart leaps with joy as I feel this new birthing, a new beginning, a new path called oracle blossoms. I am in this moment, experiencing a new way to see life, and I see many opportunities to connect with and be of assistance to others, with whom I will soon begin to cross paths.
