Today, we celebrate Week 9 of Steemit Vision Quest ( #svq ), where we collectively envision the theme: The Road. This week's highlights include many interpretations of "the road of life," with the invitation to journey there together with us.

The Spotlight
Each week, we spotlight one Vision Quester whose Artwork exemplifies the theme, and illuminates the mission: Envisioning a brilliant and beautiful New Dawn. Our approach aligns with the traditional Vision Quest, which is a dedicated search for inspiration. Here, we bring our Inner Visions into focus, prompted by the question: What Does My Higher Self See?
If Your Road Is "Less Traveled" Maybe You Are Lost by @fishyculture
If I’m interpreting @fishyculture’s Vision correctly, this is a philosophical contemplation about the road of life. Her creative non-fiction is supported by original imagery and rich symbolism. Yes, and this message feels vital to me, at this stage in the Vision Quest. It parallels my feeling that one path opens a way to other paths–this is liberating and enlivening!! And I would add this: All of us have a road before us, and few of us will take the first step. My hope and dream is that Steemit Vision Quest may be the first step, for someone, somewhere.
As a summary, I see four main messages: (1) each of us has a unique road, and this is the path that is divinely designed specifically for our life’s journey, a.k.a. destiny; (2) finding this road is a matter of divine inspiration, and it is accessible via focus and intention; (3) advancing on this road requires dedicated action, with firmness and flexibility; and (4) changing courses is OK because one road leads to another. Brilliant! Wow.
Note: Point #3 states that advancement is possible with dedicated action, with firmness and flexibility. And this reminds me of a song by Ani DiFranco, "As Is," where she sings, “When I look down, I just miss all the good stuff. When I look up, I just trip over things.”
Excerpt:
I learned to watch the sunrise. There really is an energy change at dusk and dawn, it can be measured with the right electromagnetic equipment. In the moments just before the sun breaks the horizon, you can see something pulsate on the horizon line, all along where it is beginning to light up. It is not a cloud, it is not a "thing." It is the energy of the earth and sun, interacting and you can see it IF you stop and look for it. Maybe not the first time, but probably, if you just look. I suspect it would work at dusk except the retina would be sun-blanched at the moment you needed to be dark-adapted.

The Showcase
The SVQ showcase is presented in the order of Flow, meaning it is as is. Here, we celebrate the Visions we've received this week, taking another look at the wealth of wisdom that exists in our collective subconscious, allowing the Artwork to radiate, ripple, and echo. Truly, this type of visioning exercise is capable of expanding the consciousness of all the world, because when we imagine the world we wish to live in, we actually think, feel, and materialize these thoughts, words, and actions.
The Road - Steemit Vision Quest Week 9 by @cronosclocks
@cronosclocks also expressed herself creatively on the subject of the road of life. She starts with the image of a tree, to visualize the road and its many branches, leading us skyward in various directions. I love the fact that her artwork persuades us that these distinct branches in our roads make us who we are–unique! Each of her lines seems simple, and upon second sight I see great depth in them. Rather than interpret them myself, though, I'll leave them up to you to find your own interpretation.

Here, @girlbeforemirror shares an original poem, accompanied by her 3-year-old’s finger painting. Such sweetness in this red road, running through green rolling hills, under a bright blue sky with a big orange sun. The poetry is similarly sweet, as if it is a promise to walk the road alongside her child. I love this one stanza in particular, shown below. My heart leaps, reading these lines.

Loving this poem by @trucklife-family too. I find it fascinating that every individual has a unique interpretation of a concept, such as “The Road,” and each interpretation is equally valid and beautiful in its own way. Shows me that the Creative Fire burns differently inside us all. That’s the road!
On a related note, just this morning, someone asked me where these SVQ themes come from, and I explained that the animals inspire me by the symbolism I see in them. Each week, I find an animal and interpret the symbolic meaning I see in it, and this guides me in naming the theme. It’s a very subtle message, and it’s entirely inaudible, but it’s as if I can feel it. It resonates when it feels right and good. This is the way the artistic process works, I believe. It’s an intentional seeking, followed by a devoted action, leading to a journey and a destination. That's the road too!! Viva the road of life!!!

My entry this week is an original song, along with series of illustrations, photos, and written sentiments regarding my spiritual path–my road. This article is inspired by mystical experiences in celebration of Easter weekend, when I had the honor of sitting in two spiritual ceremonies.

The Rewards
Today's showcase is a collection of Works by some of Steemit's most wildly imaginative and gifted creative thinkers. We appreciate these people for braving the storms of this day and bringing themselves into the Flow that is Steemit Vision Quest. This a true act of courage, and it deserves to be applauded, and rewarded. We wish for the humble beginnings of our rewards pool to grow immensely, so we can give with Great Spirit.
