Riding The Storms

For eons my heart lay captured in stone,
the river of love that once fed its shores long run dry,
every dawning of a new sun, a new face painted on its surface,
but within, it was naught but cold and desolate…
awaiting the catalyst of freedom,
with aged anticipation and impatient suffering.

The thunder resounding loudly,
the message from Thor came before you,
the time for my awakening was destined,
yet still, my heart lay captured in stone.

To be free once again to feel,
to fill those rivers once again until they raged with my tears,
The eagles above screeched your arrival,
yet still, my heart lay captured in stone.

In the distance I heard your calling,
the delicate cries of your innocence,
carried upon the waves of time,
you washed up on my shore…

I could not reach you from my ancient home,
my body surrendered into the mountainous pass,
Raging to the gods to return you to me,
my blood boiling with despair.

The thunderbolt split the skies in two,
as it mercifully raced towards the land,
shattering my reality beyond my madness,
directly into my hiding heart.

The life-force surged and awoken my senses,
to capture you in my arms,
for the tide waits no man,
but delivers its gift always on time.

Now I stand with you this day,
between the ocean and the sky,
my broken half now one,
as I walk forth with my warrior son,

Pacha Mamma is shaking,
everything is awakening,
it is time to release our greatest gift,
the self-generating capacity for Love.

For eons we have awaited this moment,
the waiting is finally over,
and now it is upon us,
now my Son, lets get this job done.

My son was born in time for my Saturn Return at 28... just when I thought I had really worked it all out in life. He was an unexpected gift that the storms of life delivered, putting every tool I had ever learned to the test. His arrival shattered my reality, soon uncovering so much repression within my own being, hiding behind the walls I had built around my heart to stay "safe". 8 years on, he has become my best friend, my partner in crime and my superhero who drives me ever further into my heart and feelings, determined to ride these waves together and create the biggest ripple of love wherever we venture.
