Here's some Color Challenge Tuesday Orange for ya!
Card 1: Chief of Pipes
The Chief of Pipes represents timelessness. He is sitting in his lodge contemplating many things. He's smoking his pipe with his right hand while digging in his tobacco pouch with the other. A lovely fire is burning, he's got his chief blanket on his shoulder and he is chillin out. If you choose this card today chances are you are slow and deliberate in making up your mind. Solid in your convictions, you might have little patience for pettiness. Your solid foundation allows for you to hold honest pride. You can laugh at yourself and others. And typically you stick up for the underdog. The chief reminds us to take a moment, center ourselves in our "lodge" and know that your decisions and actions will unfold in perfect time, even if they seem to be taking longer than you wish.
Card 2: Ace of Shields
Many Native American people possess a medicine shield. These shields are not a physical protection say from war, but a spiritual shield of a person's own manifestation of a vision quest or in my opinion divine assignment. The shield typically made from a skin or hide of an animal. Adorned with eagle feathers, shells, Earth elements etc. The colors and symbols might represent which clan and individual medicines and reflections of the persons wants, dreams, love and possibly fears. A physical representation of the person's personal vision quest would be painted on the round hide. I think of creating a sigil for oneself and goals in comparison. If you chose this card today, it is time for big undertakings, new projects, a commitment to new goal, fresh ideas. Perhaps it's time to create a shield, or design for the new project or projects you are scheming about.
Card 3: The Hermit
The Hermit, Number 9, Major Arcana, Element Earth, ruled by Mercury. The Hermit, in this deck, represents the wild mountain men of the west, that had to endure fierce wild conditions. Hiding out many times in the high mountains from cruel terrain, harsh weather and tribes that were defending their lands. This Mountain Man has his donkey, his lantern, his musket, his gun and his cap. He's ready to go anywhere and be able to adapt. He can be in the world of things, but is much happier alone in the wild. He represents the balance of life and to know when to go within and hibernate, or come and interact with the world. Picking this card today, suggests to self reflect, perhaps meditate and clear the inner path to sense the answers to act in the outer path in a balanced way. It's okay to retreat and say no sometimes. On the other hand, you might be hiding out from your community, loved ones, friends and it's time to go forth and socialize.
Thanks for stopping by, wishing you a wonderful week!
