Cheap and Fabulous? Totally possible!
Cozy Cafe is a small cafe in a small town - the kind of place where you can discover the best food at unbelievable prices.
Here's a couple of pictures of the cozy interior. It probably only seats 30 people maximum but while we were there a steady stream of take out customers kept the front counter busy.
This was some interesting artwork behind the front counter.
I didn't even bother with the menu, the specials board on the wall held enough choices.
All the entrees came with FOUR sides (except the mostaccoli, which only had 2 sides) and the sides are given to you by the waitress because they change every day and are, therefore, not printed on the menu.
The choice of sides today were: Egg Roll, Crab Rangoon, Side Salad, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Green Beans, Beets, Apricots and Strawberry Cake.
I started with the Side Salad with house made Ranch Dressing.
I also got the Crab Rangoon and Sweet & Sour Sauce, both also made fresh here.
For my entree I chose the Livers & Gizzards, along with Mashed Potatoes.
The mashed potatoes were freshly mashed, not the instant kind, and served with a melted herb butter topping.
And last, but not least, was the strawberry cake.
I'm surprised at the quality and variety of food in this little small town cafe. And this was quite a meal for $7.50! There was plenty to take home, which makes it an even bigger bargain.
